Victim Services

Relationship abuse. Child abuse. Rape. These phrases are often just words until we hear of a friend or family member who has gone through these unthinkable ordeals. Or, perhaps you have had to bear the emotional and psychological weight of having a violent crime committed against you.

After abuse happens, the individual often feels a deep sense of being lost and without assistance. Knowing what to do, who to tell, where to go, even what number to dial when you are ready to obtain help seem like overwhelming questions without any real answers - but the answers do exist and help is out there.

In this web site, we've gathered information a survivor of abuse needs to know: your rights in the legal system; how to recognize the signs in friends and family members who are in abusive situations; and how to deal with the situation after abuse occurs. Also, learn how to protect yourself by learning about what you can do to prevent this from happening. Our resource also provides national, metropolitan and Continuum numbers to provide assistance, support and counseling.
